I Work Out!(:

Happy Monday, hope all of you had a fabulous weekend! I spent my weekend with family enjoying bonfires and cookouts!
So since we got married my husband and I have put on extra weight that we definitely don’t need. I gained 38 pounds since high school (2 years ago) and let’s say I’m less than thrilled about it. Most of my family on my mother’s side has thyroid problems and eight months ago I found out that so do I.  Ever since then I have used it as an excuse to be fat and just gave up on trying to lose weight! On top of it since we are still young we have chosen not to have kids yet and because of it I’m home alone most of the day. Since there is nothing to do I find myself sleeping in until noon or even one on the days I don’t work! My days of consist of waking up around 545 to make my husband’s lunch, going back to bed after that, waking up at around noon, watching some TV, making myself breakfast around 1, taking a shower, cleaning, cooking dinner, waiting for my husband to get home and then whatever we want to do after that (usually sitting on the couch and watching TV, online shopping and reading blogs). We both don’t participate in any physical activity besides going from room to room in our apartment. About a month ago we both just got sick of being fat and none of our clothes fitting us. So we decided to start doing something about it! First we started out with trying to eat healthier. We added more fresh fruit to our diet, all natural products, trying to eat less starch, less carbs, no longer having pop in our kitchen and eating healthy snacks. I know that doesn’t sound like a lot but for us that was a big step, we love our snacks, pasta and I was always use to making homemade dessert every night!  We also started working out together and trying to motivate each other. One of my husband coworkers started doing the insanity workout and so far it has really worked for him! So we decided to try it too! Today will be our first day of doing it! Pretty sure I will most likely fall to the ground and die; hopefully my big butt will bounce be right back up and motivate me to keep going! I know that I won’t be able to do it every day, so I have decided to do it every other day and then go for a mile walk/run on the days that I don’t!  My goal being that around the third week my body will somewhat be used to it and have more stamina. That way I can start doing it more often and get my body in shape. I know that I will need more that 60 days to have the body that I am looking for so I will just have to keep trying. I don’t want to be a size two, to be honest I don’t even want to be a size eight! I have a really curvy body, with huge hips and a ginormous butt! So I know that around a size nine/ ten will be good for me, right now I’m a size 14. My plan is to have a healthy and fit body I don’t want to be tiny, I want to be healthy and go back to feeling good in my own skin! I hate the feeling of going to try something on that u really like and it being too tight. Since I love clothes I want to be able to fit in all the stuff I want!  I want to be able to go out and feel great about myself and not think people are talking about my weight! That being said I hope I can stick to my plan and start seeing a healthy version of me soon!  If any of you have any yummy healthy recipes, ideas or even ways that you have shed some pounds comment below, I would love to read and try them out! Let me know plus I would love to hear some motivational words!

You know me always trying to find a reason to shop! So to celebrate our new start to working out, I had to go out and buy some cute new sneakers!(:

  2. Well all I have to say is good luck on this new goal in your life! Of course it won't be easy, you will have to work your butt off, stick to the diet, stick to your workouts & not give into all the sweet stuff or the ribs during all these summer cook outs and partys!! LOL but I'm sure you will get into a routine that will get alot easier on the way! Don't ever give up or doubt yourself because I'm sure you will succeed!! Good luck once again!! :)
