A Blogger In Need!!

Hey There Gorgeous!!

So for a while now I have been thinking about this and I have just decided to blog about it! I started my blog as a fashion! I wanted to be able to show women that you can totally look good without breaking your bank!  Now it’s little bit of everything blog! I am totally happy with what it has turned into and I am so thankful for each and every one of you that read my blog and support it! I am not writing today to get pity comment or anything! I just want to speak what is on my mind and get your opinions!

Lately I have been finding it so hard to blog and post. As much as I love blogging sometimes I just feel like I don’t have what it takes to be a good blogger! I FEEL like a lot of the great blogs have it all and I have nothing to offer! I don’t really shop at j. crew (although I wish I could), I don’t have people to take great photos of me and I am not what most people would consider to be a looker!

As much as I love fashion I sometimes find it so hard to post because I just feel like no one wants to take style advice from a size 14! As much as I try to be cute and trendy I just feel like viewers want to see what is cute and trendy on girls that are a size four not on a girl that is a size 14! As much as I would love to just be confident in myself I just take what people say super personally! For example many times I put together outfits that are cute and trendy and then people make statements like “what the heck are you wearing” or “you are too big to wear that” (in real life not on the blog).  I know I really shouldn’t care what people think, but I can’t help it! I am a people pleaser and I always take what people say wayyy to personally!!  Let be honest at times I just wish I could pull my southern belle play book and hit them with a “bless your heart” and a snare! Instead I go home and mope about it! Honestly if you were to tell me that I wasn’t confident about myself two years ago I would of probably laughed in your face! In college I was outgoing and had tons of friends! I would like to think that I was the life of the part! Seriously though since I gained so much weight from my thyroid and just being lazy it has truly affected me more than I ever thought possible!

I want to be able to give YOU guys what YOU want! A fun Trendy blog! I want my blog to me a page that you can look forward to reading and I know that right now It is not that! So I am going to try to be a better blogger for you and a stronger person for me! I probably won’t be able to blog every day because I do have a hubby that loves to spend time with me but I want to start being more persistent! Also what do u guys want to see on the page? Is there any advice you have for me? I’ll take any advice!!

I truly just want to say thanks for sticking by me and always taking the time to read my blog! I truly appreciate it!!

I leave you with fabulous Carrie Bradshaw

Have a great Day!!

  2. don't worry about what other people think and that you're not "perfect" enough for the blogging world. in my opinion it's not designer clothes or a good camera which makes a good blog. i love to read and see personal stuff. i mean of course the "top bloggers" seem perfect to us and they're also our inspiration. but why can't we inspire other people too?:) it needs individuals like you and me so that people can identify themselves with us and also that they can see that there are let's say "normal" people too. and don't worry about your size - what if all bloggers would have the same size?? that's kinda boring! and where should readers with your size get inspiration from?:)

    lots of love <33

  3. Don't worry about what others think. I blog for me and for my future family. So I can look back and see what I was doing in 2013 many years from now. Sometimes I blog about fashion, or cooking, or just daily life. It's about you and how you feel. Not about what makes other people feel inferior because they are wearing an outfit completely purchased from JCrew.

  4. Girl, I love the pants off you right now! For one, you blog about whatever your little heart desires: fashion, food, annoying people in line at Starbucks. I want to read it all! And as for fashion advice from a size 14? BRING. IT. ON!!! I'm a 12/14 right now because I regained 20 pounds. Dressing at 14 is harder than when I was a 10. Cuts matter, fabrics matter. I think it's a huge compliment to be fashionable and "big", which by the way 14 is NOT big. It's average. And to be honest, I'd be less inclined to take fashion advice from you if you WERE a in the 2-8 range because those girls pretty much have nothing for me. Yes, I like to see what they're wearing or where they got it, but I'm much more inclined to go to someone who has the same body type as I do.

So, my advice? Keep doing what you're doing!

  5. I just want you to know that I think you are beautiful and not only that, but you seem like you have an amazing heart! And guess what?! Im a size 14 too and I have felt the same way you do. I have gained so much weight in the past year due to all kinds of things, mainly bc of moving 6 hours away from everyone and everything that I love and being super homesick. But you are not alone and I think you are absolutley georgous! AND I look so forward to reading your blog everyday!

  6. I haven't been following you for very long, but from what I have read and the comments you leave me I just can tell you are just as beyond beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside!!! You are one of my favorite bloggers!!! I sometimes feel the same about how I don't have someone to take amazing pictures of me and I can't shop at all of the expensive stores either. I wear things way more than once, but I just try to think about the followers I do have and I'm thankful for them. Keep up the great work!!! I love reading your blog and following you on instagram!!

  7. Girl! You do know that not everyone is a size 2, right?! I'm certainly not. I love to get fashion trend ideas from anyone who is into fashion. You including.

There is not nothing wrong with not being able to shop at Jcrew. I own not one piece from there. It does not make me feel any less fashionable.

Continue to work with what you have. Continue to believe that you have a voice and that you have something to share. If you believe it, then we'll believe it.

I for one love your blog!

  8. You are beautiful inside and out! I love all of your fashion advice and I'd much rather take it from you than a size 0-6 (or see it on y ou). You make everything you put on look great! Everything in magazines and online has girls size 0 modeling the clothes and it's hard to tell what it'd look like on an average size girl.
As much as I'd love to buy all name brand clothes, I can't and I dont care about the "high end" name brands. There's equally cute things for 1/4 of the price.
And about your thyroid medicine, start taking it silly!

  10. I feel the exact same way most of the time, but at the end of the day, I'm really only blogging for myself. It's just a great outlet for me to document some of my favorite outfits, and just get stuff off my chest and step outside of 'real life' and into the 'bloggers world' for a little bit every day. People who ask "what are you wearing" obviously do not know anything about fashion! Sometimes before I leave the house I think to myself 'I think this outfit might be a bit much' but ya know what, I work with really creative people, and most everyone is pretty 'in' on fashion trends and every single time I'm hesitant about my outfit, I get to work and the most fashionable guy in our office (or possibly that I know) always tells me how great I look and how much he loves my outfit! So clearly people with good fashion sense can appreciate other people with good fashion sense. And the times I get made fun of for wearing my fur vest and people say I look like I killed Chewbacca, don't know squat about what's hot in fashion. My rule that I've learned to live by, if you just wear it, you're pulling it off! Half the time people are afraid to take fashion risks, but the people who do are the ones setting the trends. And I get down on myself because some of the cuter looks I'd like to wear don't look that great on me (I'm currently about a size 8/10) So I'm still trying to learn to dress for my body type, but at the end of the day, if you dressed for yourself in the morning and wearing that outfit made you feel confident and sexy, that's all that matters :) Keep rocking it girl! You're doing fabulous!!!!
